Police hot on the heels of teens in escape bid overnight
Police were hot on the heels of fleeing teens overnight.
They had fled from a cloned vehicle.
Two were hiding in a garden – one underneath a trampoline and other in a shed.
Officers spotted the Seat Leon, believed to be linked to a series of car part thefts. They made the discovery around 2am today (September 4) in the Birmingham.
It was tracked with the help of the helicopter where three people were seen jumping out.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and theft from a motor vehicle.
A 17-year-old found in a garden shed on Flaxley Road, Stetchford and was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle; while an 18-year-old was detained from underneath a trampoline for theft from a vehicle.
Meanwhile, a Vauxhall Insignia, reported stolen yesterday afternoon, was seen on the M6 in Birmingham.
It clocked 100mph while being pursued and rammed into police cars in the get-away attempt. An officer suffered injures which were not serious.
The vehicle was stung on the Broadway, Walsall, around midnight.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous and drink driving; with a 47-year-old man detained over theft.
All remain in custody for questioning.
