Man’s face stabbed outside Great Barr pub

Officers investigating a serious stabbing outside a pub in Birmingham are appealing for information.

Police were called outside the Beeches on Thornbridge Avenue in Great Barr just before 1am on Saturday 14 December, where a 31-year-old man had suffered several stab wounds to his face, left arm and right leg.

The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition and has now sadly lost his sight in his left eye.

PC Sarah Proctor from the Force CID team, said:

“I am urging anyone who has any information on what happened that night, to contact us as soon as possible.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a silver or gold BMW car, the incident taking place or noticed any suspicious behaviour beforehand.

“We also want to speak to a group of around eight men described as Asian and one black man who were in cars outside the location. One of the Asian men was described as wearing a black puffa jacket with a fluffy hood and a long metal chain running down to his stomach.”

Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime.
