Man stabbed outside West Brom boozer
Response units were called to reports of a disorder outside the Flower Pot pub in West Brom just before half six on Sunday night.
A 24-year-old man was attacked outside the pub in Spon Lane and sustained multiple stab wounds, West Mids Police, confirms.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains today.
A two-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with minor injuries thought to have been caused during the incident.
Officers are still investigating the exact circumstances of how he was injured.
At this stage, it is believed that the boy was not injured with any weapons. He suffered minor cuts and abrasions, consistent with him having fallen.
Detectives have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Detective Sergeant Paul Cook, from force CID, said:
“I understand the concerns of the community and would like to offer reassurance that we’re doing all we can to establish what happened yesterday and find those responsible.
