Man charged with murder of June Jones remanded in custody
Detectives investigating the death of June Jones from Sandwell charged her former partner with murder last night (Sunday 6 January).
Michael Foran appeared before Walsall Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 7 January) accused of killing 33-year-old Miss Jones.
She was found dead at her address in Wyndmill Crescent, West Bromwich, on 31 December.
Foran, aged 32 of no fixed address, entered no plea and was remanded in custody to next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday (9 January).
A 34-year-old man has also been charged with assisting an offender.
Detective Inspector Warren Hines, from the force’s homicide department, said:
