Man charged and further arrest made in Lower Gornal murder
A WEST BROMWICH man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a man outside a Lower Gornal Chinese takeaway.
Nabeel Choudhary, 20 of Hope Street, appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court on Saturday. He was remanded in custody.
The 34-year-old victim has been named as Yasir Hussain, a father of four and from Lancashire. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9:40pm on Tuesday on Central Drive. The street is a short walk away from Gornal Village and the local football ground.
A car was rammed into another car outside the takeaway before the attack took place.
Three people who were arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday night have since been released pending further investigation.
A 21-year-old woman who was being held on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been released pending further investigation.
Choudhary is charged with murder and possession of a firearm with criminal intent.

A sixth person has been arrested in connection with the murder for interview with detectives.
