Man charged with Brierley Hill murder
A man has been charged with the murder that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning near the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Brierley Hill.
Glen Elvin, 25, of no fixed abode, will appear before magistrates in Dudley charged with the murder of Christoper Harm.
Christopher, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene on Engine Lane at around 1am.
Elvin was arrested by officers shortly after the incident in a nearby location.
A forensic post mortem examination concluded that Christopher died from a single stab wound.
Detective Inspector Harry Harrison, from the Homicide Team, said:
“This is such a tragic waste of a life. Our thoughts continue to remain with Christopher’s family who have been kept fully updated by this development.”
Two other males, who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action.
Christopher’s family have described their pain saying:
“A loving son, dad and brother gone so tragically and a family left in pieces forever.”
Elvin remains remanded in police custody.
